Stand by for third DVD

WORK on the third video in the trilogy of Cheshire curiosities DVDs, featuring the northern part of Cheshire West and Chester Council area, was abandoned (temporarily!) after  appalling summers in 2010 and 2011.

Excellent progress in a sunny June 2010 saw a lot of footage captured but then the poor weather set in. Having received good comments about the previous videos that were shot in sunny weather we weren't prepared to put up with dull, windy days and we waited in vain for the sun to return.

By the time of a slight reprieve in September 2010, the leaves on the trees had turned brown presenting a continuity error with the earlier scenes.

So the project was put on hold until the summer of 2011 - but this wasn't much better than the previous year. We did manage to get more footage - just not enough to finish the project.

When completed, the video - which has a working title of "Further Cheshire Curiosities" - will run for around an hour and be in colour, 4:3 ratio, and PAL format. The price will be £10.

Again, all proceeds will be for the restoration fund of St Mary's Parish Church, Nantwich.

An ancient packhorse bridge that will feature in the new video
