Create a watercolour of a tree scene, using 4 colours, 2 brushes and a little technique...

Step 8: Silver Birch Trunk
 
     
 

 
This frame shows the way to start a silver birch tree. The first thing I've done is determine the width that I would like the tree to be by painting the space at either side of the tree with a blue wash.
 

 

 
While the wash is still wet I've placed further colours on top randomly. I've used Lemon Yellow and Burnt Umber and once again moved the board from left to right and up and down, gently blending the background together..
