Repairs and Upgrades

If a PC or laptop is broken, running slowly, generally misbehaving (or has viruses) some people might think they need to buy new one. This isn't always the answer !

A combination of repair, upgrade and good advice can often vastly improve your machines performance and your experience for, sometimes, a very small price !

Our diagnosis and repair service is extremely competitively priced and is based on time spent identifying the problem. Repairs start from as little as £15.00.

We are unable to give fixed prices for repairs until the problem has been identified and we never start repairs until we have discussed the proposed solution and cost with you first. Repairs are nearly always possible but if we consider that the cost of repair is unreasonable in relation to the age or value of the equipment we will offer our opinion and recommendations.

Conditions

1. We reserve the right to refuse to inspect or work on equipment that we consider to be too old or fragile to contemplate repair or for any equipment or operating system that we consider to be beyond our capability to effect a repair.

2. We do not accept responsibility for loss of your data. Your data is your responsibility. If, as part of a proposed repair we are asked to back up your data this is possible but is your responsibility to define the folders or information to be backed up.

3. Equipment failure can manifest itself in varying degrees, some of which may not be obvious to either you or ourselves when you bring it to the shop. We do not accept responsibility for customers claims of "...well it was working when I brought it in...". Your reason for bringing a machine in to us may well be early signs of an imminent total failure of a component.

4. We are unable to be dictated by customers demands or timescale. Many repairs can be undertaken same or next day but we do not offer a while-you-wait service unless expressly stated by us for certain problems.

5. By carrying out a repair on your equipment we do not guarantee the stability or function of the rest of your equipment. Any components replaced by us are guaranteed for 3 months.

6. If your machine is cleaned of viruses by us we are unable to guarantee that your equipment will not become infected at some time in the future.
