TR.EXE - A Technics Song Rename Utility

TR.EXE (Technics Rename) is a PC utility to speed the process of renaming Technics KN2000, KN3000 and KN5000 song performance data files. Renaming is often necessary when several songs from downloaded sources are copied to one disk. Songs have position numbers in the range 1-20. If the same number is repeated on a disk the keyboard will recognise only the first of the duplicates. To overcome this problem the duplicate song must be moved to an unused number. TR.EXE helps this process by renaming the various files of a song. Either the song name, its position, or both can be changed. All files for a song are changed by a single command. Files supported are CMP, TM, LSW, SEQ, SQF, MSP, SQT and TLX.
TR runs in a DOS box so access your MS-DOS Prompt (START -> PROGRAMS -> MS-DOS Prompt) then use TR.
