'Sa Tanqueta' - Country house for rent in Mallorca
Peaceful house for rent near Selva, Mallorca, with a private swimming pool and a small orchard.
Sa Tanqueta was totally refurbished in 2001 and has a newly fitted kitchen and bathroom. The house sleeps four - possibly six using the sofa-bed in the sitting room. There is a large covered terrace with large built-in barbecue and traditional Mallorcan oven.

The Grounds
Swimming Pool - The newly built pool has steps leading up to a tiled seating area which has space for the sun loungers and chairs which are provided. The pool is a constant depth of 1.5 metres (4'9") and has built-in metal steps and a filtering system.
Orchard - To the side of the pool are gates leading to the small orchard containing olive, almond, orange, lemon, fig, vines and bay trees. There is also a large prickly pear cactus. You are welcome to pick any ripe fruit.
Parking - There is secure parking for up to six cars.
The House
The house at Sa Tanqueta (which
means 'the little sheep meadow') is built in the traditional style and
stays at a comfortable temperature throughout the year. It has tiled floors
throughout and wooden shutters on all windows. The house is run on a combination
of solar power, gas and a generator.
The Terrace - The large covered terrace runs the entire length of the house and provides shade throughout the day. At one end of the terrace is a traditional Mallorquin wood burnng oven and a large built-in barbecue. There is plenty of space for dining on the terrace at the table and chairs provided.
Lounge/Kichen - The lounge has a traditional stone fireplace and plenty of storage space. The sofa converts into a comfortable bed, allowing up to 6 people to sleep in the house.
The newly fitted kitchen has a double sink, a gas hob and oven with a built in grill and a large fridge-freezer. It is fully equipped with pots and pans etc. There is a new front loading washine machine located in the workshop at the side of the house.
Bedrooms - Both bedrooms have plenty of storage space and all bedding is provided. The front bedroom has a double bed, the rear bedroom has a bed that can be divided to form 2 singles. Beds are prepared prior to your arrival.
Bathroom - The bathroom was completely refitted in 2001 with a white bathroom suite (handbasin, toilet, bidet and bath with overhead shower). Towels are provided.
