Lyn and John Wiltshire (Lwaxanna and Spontini)

Lyn and John

Excuse the hats. This photo was taken while we were on holiday. It was hot.

John
I was born in Cardiff, Wales on 27th August 1948. Hard to believe eh? My interests are Magic (ie conjuring), Roller Coasters and travel. I have a reasonable collection of magic tricks that I like to inflict on anyone who shows a spark of interest. As for the coasters, you can be sure there is a large roller coaster involved somewhere when we go on holiday. eg In 1998 we plan to go to the Kansas Leap and Chicago, then on to Ohio for the King's Island coasters etc. I am a computer programmer by profession (ICL Cobol at present but likely to retrain to Unix in 2001).
Lyn has reminded me that I have not mentioned one of my interests. I love Disney. We have been to all the Disney Parks several times (except Japan) and I have a large collection of Disney character ties etc.

Lyn
After 18 months of treasuring my anonimity behind the net name of Lwaxanna I am now being forcibly and reluctantly "outed".
I was born in Cardiff in the same hosiptal where 27 years later Vicki was to arrive. My birthdate is the 10th January 1953 the same year that the good Dr Beckett was born but he seems to be wearing much better than me. I took a degree in Applied Maths at Aberystwyth University and have subsequently made a career out of checking other people's sums.
Unlike the other members of my nuclear family I do not like rollercoasters, I am even a reluctant flyer. However as the coasters that my pair of thrill seekers want to try are usually in the nicest places I am quite happy to go along for the ride, or rather to go along to sit at the bottom of the ride, in the sun, reading a sci-fi book.

Vicki Wiltshire

Hi, at age 17, I am the youngest member of the chat and I actually had a virtual birthday party on the chat! I was born in Wales but I now live in Telford, England, with my parents (Lwaxanna & Spontini - their chat names), cat (Tiger) and Rabbits (Harvey and Tonchi).
I love going to the cinema and I hope to be a set designer in the future (to hopefully design the set for Quantum Leap: The Movie!) and I suppose that there is no need to mention that I love QL. It is my life. I am obsessed!
In a few years time I hope to go to Bristol University where there is a large Media Studies area but before this I have to pass my 'A'-Level exams in Art, English Language, Media Studies, and General Studies...and of course I still have to get a C in GCSE Maths!
SYATGB!

Gary Marsh (Gooshie)

I live in Reading, England, which is about 30 miles west of London. I'm 22, and of course I'm an Obsessed Leaper - spending hours every week talking to my leaping friends on the net.  It's partly why I go by the net nickname Gooshie, the other part being that I'm a programmer.  I program in Turbo Pascal, and more recently Delphi.  I also know some C++ and more C.
Computers are a big love of mine - I love getting and sending e-mail.  I play computer games sometimes, but not often, and I have a Sega Saturn. I watch films - I like action films, and am a fan of Arnie, Sly, Bruce Willis, and Will Smith.  I also like comedy films and shows.  And of course, I'm a big fan of sci-fi, and in particular time-travel.
Other interests include landscape photography, and listening to music by Eric Clapton, Queen, the Eagles - a lot of different ones really.
Other than that, I like eating pizza, or chinese food.
Oh, and you can also see my web page at http://www.chasley.demon.co.uk/garys/garys.htm, where you can read most of the above again. :-)

I was born in Ft. Belvoir, VA, just outside Washington D.C.  Bounced all over the country growing up.  My dad was career Navy.  I live in Lubbock, Texas now.  It's me, both of my parents, and my sister and brother-in-law as far as immediate family goes.  I have lots and lots of aunts, uncles, and cousins  and 2 dogs.  :)  Interests include reading, writing, computers, anything QL (of course :) ), astronomy, fantasy art (dragons, wizzards, and the like), and dancing.

Valérie Badan (Ziggy)

My name's Valérie and I'm born in 1979.  I live in Corsier-sur-Vevey, a little city surrounded by vineyards, mountains and the Lake of Geneva, in the French-speaking part of Switzerland. I live there with my parents, my brother and my cat, Newton.
I'm doing my last year of high school in the scientific section and I'll maybe go to the university institution specializing in engineering to have a job in computers and networks domain, later.
I play badminton, I like reading sci-fi books (Asimov, Werber,...) and I'm very interested in cinema, Antic Egypt and that show I don't remember the name... let me see... oh yes ! Quantum Leap ;-)

Seth Argabright

Seth was born January 10, 1978, in Chillicothe, OH, where he has lived his whole life. He graduated in 1996, fourth in his class, with a 4.0 GPA and as a member of Quill & Scroll and the National Honor Society. From there, he went on to Ohio University in Athens where he is now pursuing a degree in telecommunications to do only God knows what. But, one way or another, he will graduate in four years!

In his spare time, Seth likes to play guitar, listen to music, watch too much TV, design webpages, write humor/fiction, and play racquetball. At school, he is involved with Campus Crusade For Christ, through which he has met a lot of friends and grown a lot spiritually.

ambitions:

  1. establish himself as a successful television screenplay writer
  2. learn to fly a plane
  3. go to Germany (He's 3/4 German.)
  4. meet Sarah Michelle Gellar

Seth has held down a number of jobs, earning him the dubious title of "Jack of All Trades, Master of None". It all began with a paper route in middle school. Inevitably, he eventually found himself flipping burgers at Burger King (no, wait a minute...they're flame-broiled, not "flipped") but of course he totally loathed that. Fortunately, he fell into an awesome job in radio as a control board operator and announcer for WKKJ/WBEX in Chillicothe, and would gladly make radio his life's career if it paid anything at all. At school, he has done time on an internet tech support line and as a resident assistant in the dorms. Who knows what job he will hold next?

Of course, Seth is a big Quantum Leap fan. (Why else would he be here?) He also likes Sliders, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and, on the rare occasions that the writing is actually good, Early Edition. His favorite movie of all time, keeping with the time travel theme, is Back to the Future. His favorite book: Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

Todd Justman

I was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1970, and grew up in Vacaville and Sacramento, California. After graduating from Grant Union High School in 1988, I went to New Mexico Military Institute in Roswell, NM for one year (majoring in alien psychology, a get-over subject on any planet!). Ever the masochist, I went to the United States Military Academy, and was pardoned (i.e. graduated) in 1993. Commissioned a Second Lieutenant in Armor (tanks!), I moved to Germany and joined my tank battalion to defend NATO against the Soviet Hordes, but the Communists long ago decided to take their toys and go home. A day late and several dollars short, I nevertheless travelled my butt off until my unit found another mission in Bosnia. After sitting out the first few deployments (someone had to defend German beer), my time came and I eagerly sought danger, fame and fortune with OPERATION JOINT GUARD...but working mostly in the Division HQ. After several real-world, life-threatening, harrowing incidents with network outages and - gasp! - sloppy overlays! I was promoted captain, and shortly after sent home to move to Fort Sill, Oklahoma (Motto: "Home of Dust") where I am a Combined Arms Tactics Instructor with the Field Artillery School. I will transition back into the civilian world Fall 1998, and I hope to return home to Northern California. I am currently single and unattached. My favorite activities/interests: travel, good movies, languages, (studied German, French, Russian and Spanish, nowhere near fluent, just enough to order beer and get slapped) laughing at conspiracy theories (I did it, I confess, now stop it!), hockey, cooking (mainly desserts and things in freezer boxes for now), doing almost anything new, the Discovery Channel, washing colors and whites together (let's end segregation!), making anything myself, golf as long as no one gets hurt and I can find my ball. I have a number of life goals: learn to fly, play an instrument (piano or accordion?), speak fluent French, getting a master's degree, riding a horse, sail an ocean, scuba dive, learn to paint without using just my fingers. I'm also an idealistic cynic, and a sucker for Impressionist and Post-Impressionist art.

 Javelin

I am a native Texan.  I love astronomy, horses, computers, and a good T-bone steak with mashed potatoes.  I enjoy such hobbies as writing, reading, rapelling, and back-packing.  My favorite fandoms are Quantum Leap, The A-Team, JAG, and Babylon 5.  I carry the nickname Javelin because it suits me: I am tall and slender with a really sharp tounge.
