SD Card Problems? - Corrupted Data |
What causes the problem?
Dell Axim X5 - The problem occurs when the SD card is written to or updated WHEN THE CARD IS IN THE AXIM. Of course its hard to know in most cases when that's happening, but you'll know it when it does!
Am I suggesting there that the problem is caused by the Axim? 'Course not. I wouldn't do that, would I?
Why it doesn't work...
Now I've been asked by a couple of companies not to say why it doesn't work. Cos it'll get them in trouble. But I'm British. Stiff Upper Lip, God Save the Queen, etc, etc. So...
You'll just have to wait 'til I get legal clearance, okay?
What happens when it doesn't work - Dell Axim X5 pictures
(All pictures from my Axim using the supplied Resco Picture Viewer software - OEM version. These errors occurred whilst running my test using a Lexar 256mb SD card - code AR0304LR (yes, that bloody code), and a Sandisk 128mb SD card - code AR0304LQ.)

"Dot" directories appear on the card - one dot for each missing file. |
Files get corrupted - bummer |
Half a file... (Look Dell, corrupted data!) |

Nah, I want my data back! (For everyone who's had this error, please suggest what Sandisk can do with their SD cards) |
Me thinks there is! |
A file goes walkies during copying. (And yes, it can't find the file it was READING) |

Hmmm. I wasn't doing anything to the SD card! |
And it doesn't just happen to the English either! (What does this mean?!) |
