Please be aware that FINA, at their annual congress held in Rome during July 2009, passed a law stating that there would be a change in the rules relating
to swimming costumes. The clause below was passed
BL 8.2 In swimming competitions the competitor must wear only one swimsuit in one or two pieces which for men shall not extend above the navel nor below the knee,
and for women, shall not cover the neck, extend past the shoulder, nor shall extend below knee. All swimsuits shall be made from textile materials.
No additional items, like arm bands or leg bands shall be regarded as parts of a swimsuit.
It is understood that this will be ratified and hence become law from 1st January 2010
We are bringing this to your notice to ensure care is taken in replacing swimmers costumes
