Re Water Polo Taster days

Club and coach sessions

The East Midlands ASA is running a water polo taster day for coaches, helpers and swimmers at Spalding Swimming Pool on Saturday 28^th February 2009.

This starts at 8.30am for any coaches or helpers who wish to find out more about the game with a seminar regarding the game and it’s techniques for helpers and coaches.

This will be followed at 11am by a session for the coaches/helpers to put into practice the teaching of those techniques discussed in the dry session with a group of swimmers who wish to try water polo as a sport.

Clubs in the south of the county have been circulated with flyers for distribution to interested participants.

If your club has not received any of the flyers and you are in the south of the county, please contact the county water polo secretary.

The session at Spalding is open to all clubs affiliated to Lincolnshire ASA, so if your club is interested and have not received flyers please also contact the county water polo secretary.

It is intended to hold a similar event in the north of the county at the end of April or early May 2009 at Lincoln Yarborough Pool, and we are also considering a venue in the eastern part of the county for June or later in the year.

There is the potential of a level one water polo coach’s course in May 2009, for which we are awaiting confirmation.
