COMPETITION
CONDITIONS
- The
Promoter for all competitions shall be the Lincolnshire County ASA who may
delegate an individual or club to act as their representative at the gala.
- Entries
for all events shall close on dates set by the Championship Sub-Committee. All entries shall be made on the
official entry form and be accompanied by the relevant entry fee.
- A
swimmer must be a member of the club in whose name he is entered and
REGISTERED with the ASA for that club by the closing date for entries for
the relevant competition.
- A
swimmer entered in the name of one club in individual events may not
compete in the name of another club in the team events.
- A
swimmer who has competed in any competition of another county or who has
represented another County shall not be eligible to compete in a
Lincolnshire County Competition in the same year. (Jan to Dec)
- Any
entry failing to comply with any special or general condition governing a
Lincolnshire County competition will not be accepted. Any fee paid will be forfeit.
- Entry
standards for all competitions shall be set by the Association which
reserves the right to limit entries.
- In
the event of a dead heat in a final the swimmers or teams may elect to
share the prize or re-swim after an interval.
- Any
swimmer who withdraws from a final forfeits the right to any Championship
awards in that event.
- The
winner of each Championship shall be entitled to hold the trophy (where
such a trophy exists). He shall
give a receipt and an undertaking that reasonable care will be taken of it
and that it will be returned when and as required.
- The
first, second and third placed swimmers or teams in the Championships
shall receive suitably engraved medals.
- Any
swimmer failing to comply with guidelines for conduct at any County
Competition may forfeit the right to compete.
- Any
proposed alteration or addition to these conditions shall be circulated in
writing with the agenda for the next Executive Committee meeting.
- Any
alteration to these conditions shall only be made by a two thirds majority
of members present and voting at an Executive meeting.
- Any
question arising for which these conditions do not provide shall be
determined by the Executive.
- Time
trials will not be permitted.
