LINCOLNSHIRE COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIPS AND COMPETITIONS, UPDATED 30.05.07

 

COMPETITION CONDITIONS

 

  1. The Promoter for all competitions shall be the Lincolnshire County ASA who may delegate an individual or club to act as their representative at the gala.

 

  1. Entries for all events shall close on dates set by the Championship Sub-Committee.  All entries shall be made on the official entry form and be accompanied by the relevant entry fee.

 

  1. A swimmer must be a member of the club in whose name he is entered and REGISTERED with the ASA for that club by the closing date for entries for the relevant competition.

 

  1. A swimmer entered in the name of one club in individual events may not compete in the name of another club in the team events.

 

  1. A swimmer who has competed in any competition of another county or who has represented another County shall not be eligible to compete in a Lincolnshire County Competition in the same year. (Jan to Dec)

 

  1. Any entry failing to comply with any special or general condition governing a Lincolnshire County competition will not be accepted.  Any fee paid will be forfeit.

 

  1. Entry standards for all competitions shall be set by the Association which reserves the right to limit entries.

 

  1. In the event of a dead heat in a final the swimmers or teams may elect to share the prize or re-swim after an interval.

 

  1. Any swimmer who withdraws from a final forfeits the right to any Championship awards in that event.

 

  1. The winner of each Championship shall be entitled to hold the trophy (where such a trophy exists).  He shall give a receipt and an undertaking that reasonable care will be taken of it and that it will be returned when and as required.

 

  1. The first, second and third placed swimmers or teams in the Championships shall receive suitably engraved medals.

 

  1. Any swimmer failing to comply with guidelines for conduct at any County Competition may forfeit the right to compete.

 

  1. Any proposed alteration or addition to these conditions shall be circulated in writing with the agenda for the next Executive Committee meeting.

 

  1. Any alteration to these conditions shall only be made by a two thirds majority of members present and voting at an Executive meeting.

 

  1. Any question arising for which these conditions do not provide shall be determined by the Executive.

 

  1. Time trials will not be permitted.
