REPORT FROM DISABILITY SECRETARY

• Two swimmers from Lincolnshire County competed in the DSE International in May, Rebecca Franks from Lincoln Vulcans and Will Holland-Leavens from Deepings. Will made 2 finals, 100m Breaststroke and 50m Butterfly.

• Is it possible, with regard to Data Protection, to email all the club secretaries in the county to ask if they have any swimmers with a disability registered with the clubs? Information on whether they have a classification from British Swimming/IPC? If not classified nature of the disability if possible.

• Mel has suggested having swimmers with a disability included in rankings. Having looked on the website there are a couple already included. Not knowing of all the swimmers with a disability within Lincolnshire, it will be difficult to have separate rankings for so few swimmers at this moment in time. Swimmers with disabilities are ranked by classification with British Swimming/IPC (International Paralympic Committee), they are not ranked by age.

• Still awaiting information from Pat Crowley on the Disability Project he is co-ordinating.
