LINCOLNSHIRE COUNTY AMATEUR
SWIMMING ASSOCIATION
MASTERS REPORT
16th June 2009
Lincolnshire
masters swam in the East Midlands Inter Counties Challenge at
Wellingborough
on 7th June. The gala seemed to be much
enjoyed and there
was a
great team spirit. We were delighted to
be second with
Leicestershire
the clear winners. The remaining
counties, Northants 'A',
Derbyshire,
Nottinghamshire and Northants 'B' were quite close which added
to the
enjoyment of the gala.
There
were a number of first placings, with Oliver Petts, Paul Allen, Rita
Baxter
and myself all winning two events.
Lincolnshire also won the mens
160yrs
freestyle and medley relays. My thanks
to all who swam and
especially
to Graham Smith and Graham Richardson, our officials and Sheila
Smith
our excellent team manager. We look
forward to this being an annual
event.
Entry
forms for the County masters championships will be distributed early
July
for the competition at Cranwell on Sunday 11th October.
