As the full game is not yet finished this page represents what the finished game will be like. The information here is what is planned and also what has already been done. See the demo section for a basic idea of what the game is like.

Overview
The basic idea of the game remains the same with the object still being to rescue the Larvae. The basic idea of the game has been enhanced with additions such as a scoring system, some traps, additional items in crates, that kind of thing. The bulk of the game has gone into the level and storyline side.

The Storyline
The basic idea behind the storyline is that the Larvae have been scattered over the whole of the Larvae world and the task of your workers is to locate them all and rescue them.
In real terms this is accomplished by the game working from a central map which is roughly split into 3 areas. These are the homeland of the larvae, a mountainous region and a forested region. Each of these 3 areas is distinctly different from the others and has its own texture set so it will have a 'look' which is very different from the other sections. Each of these sections is also progressivly harder than the previous one.

The content
The sections will each have 10 levels for a maximum of 30 levels in the game.
One of the best new additions is the custom map facilities. These allow you to create and edit your own Larvae maps(levels) and also play other people's which you can download from this site.
There will also be provision for Larvae mission packs which will be produced by Portrayal and will be new 'mini' games that you can play with their own storyline.

Essentially the game will have loads more content, be even more playable and have the capacity to have unlimited new levels.
