ARTIST'S INFORMATION

2000

Carmelo has been working on his new album due out at the end of June and has been working closely on the design of the album cover hoping to create an image to match his music style. Carmelo lives in the Cotswolds and works from his home based studio in Bourton-on the-water. He rehearses at various locations including Stevie Winwood's studio in Gloucestershire, as well as renting studio space in the near town of Cheltenham. After a busy start to the new millennium with a recording contract at Abby Road Studio's, he also had several big interviews and live performances on MTV and finished of the year with a trip to New Zealand. This year looks to be busy with the relese of his new album and some promotional gigs to follow later in the year. To here samples off his new album go to the music page...

[April 2001]

Carmelo is back from New Zealand. He's been back a while actually.

[January 2001] Carmelo is taking a break in New Zealand. The RealVideo footage has now been moved to a proper dedicated RealVideo Server, so it should stream better. Try it out here..

[December 2000] Further recording at Abbey Road: 'Much Ado' has been recorded, and 'After All' re-recorded with a completely re-written chorus section. Piano, synth, 'cello and guitar overdubs took place on Sunday 10th in Studio 3.

6th December gig at The Garage saw the debut of the new stripped-down band line-up, and a particularly breezey and confident performance by all. 'You're the best audience we've ever had,' said Carmelo, and a particular highlight occurred when he congratulated Colin on a beautifully played intro to 'Much Ado' before launching into the verse...

[November 2000] Further work has taken place at Abbey Road on new songs 'Talk Nonsense' and 'After All' which has undergone extensive change since the Sky News version was performed. The RealVideo footage featured in the Sky News Technofile Extra program is available

Carmelo and the band have just completed a three-day recording session at the legendary Abbey Road Studios, including a day in the famous Studio 2 (where The Beatles worked) recording 'After All'. Unfortunately, John Green was unavailable for the session, so George Shilling stepped in on Bass Guitar and Whistling duties..
