"We invite four old friends around for a quiet dinner party, three turn up, two fall out,  and one goes and bloody cops it"

Jean and Brian are a small town couple whose lives are overturned when they foolishly invite an explosive combination of old friends and ex-lovers to spend the weekend with them. The guestrs include the hapless Emily, lecherous and neurotic by turns, whose suicide precipitates panic.

"Perhaps if I had balls you'd have more respect for me?"

"You're not having a vasectomy. And put that knife down."

"You gag me, and I'll never speak to you again"

"That's right, he can't get it up. I thought it was quite ironic, what with him working in an umbrella factory."

"We have a dead body on the sofa. It's not going to go away of its own accord, no matter how much we shout at it."
