Black Britain Online
This is part of a network of Internet sites which are targeted at the UK Black
African Caribbean community. It is a useful resource site covering topics such
as recruitment, news and sport, money matters, business information, events,
advertisements and provides free e-mail facilities. Navigating through this
site is very smooth and easy. It is the winner of a "British Electronic
Media of the Year" award.
Black Facts
An American Internet resource for Black history information, searchable by
date, word or topic. Brief facts for the most part but a helpful starting
point. Good background music to the site, which makes browsing enjoyable.
Channel 4 Black History Map
Channel 4 map, subjects and timeline for Black history in Britain. Search is by place, subject or timeline. Some areas have nothing as yet.

A Black British Webring, being a tool for groups to focus on issues, advertise
their web sites, in order to network and share ideas, opportunities and

This site aims to provide an information exchange for Asian, African and

information on ethnic minority issues covering areas such as arts and culture,

comprehensive and useful resource site.

A comprehensive general magazine with news items, current affairs, black

This site provides information about the Centre for Research in Ethnic
Relations based at the University of Warwick. It contains some useful

Commission for Racial Equality
This is the official site for the Commission for Racial Equality (CRE). The
organisation is a publicly funded, non-governmental body set up under the Race
Relations Act 1976 to tackle racial discrimination and promote racial
equality. The site contains racial equality information on your rights and the
law, ethnic diversity, news and media and CRE publications. This site has a
keyword search facility.

Croydon Museum has two modules on its Black and South Asian communities which
