This consists of 50 multiple choice questions. It is computer
based and answers are selected by simply touching the screen.
You will have 57 minutes to complete the test and at least 43
questions must be answered correctly to pass.
"I've never used a touch screen before"!!
Don't worry. You can work through a practice session to familiarise
yourself with the system before starting your test. Staff at the
test centre will also be on hand to help you if required.
"When will I know the result?"
Results should be available within 30 minutes at the test centre.

The theory test is available in many foreign languages through a headset.
Candidates with dyslexia or other reading difficulties can also use a headset.
The test may also be delivered in British Sign Language (BSL) by an
on-screen signer for candidates who are deaf or have other hearing
difficulties. Alternatively, a BSL interpreter or lip speaker can be
provided if requested at the time of booking.
