Wow, Venice is incredible. I thought it was all hype until I got there but it is truly a magical place.
I loved the water buses - you could just hop on and off and it made it very easy to get around the city.
Highlight of the trip has to be the gondola trip (but very tricky getting on and off), closely followed by St Mark’s Square by night.

St Mark’s Square by day is pretty good too - good place to people watch but beware the price of a cup of coffee if there is music playing (but well worth it!).
Best food was the Tiramisu at the Restaurant Omnibus near Rialto Bridge.
Great place for buying handbags (we all bought one) and for frequenting friendly bars.

Canals
A must do is a gondola trip. A bit frightening on the Grand Canal but fine in the smaller canals.
