What a fantastic trip - Florence is so beautiful and Pisa was a complete surprise.
Having always seen the pictures of the leaning tower in isolation it was a revelation to find is is part of a much bigger group of buildings and is in fact the bell tower to the cathedral. I didn’t go up but stayed at the bottom (in a bar) and waved at those who did make it to the top of the tower.
Food is fantastic - Italian food must really suit us as we all really make the most of eating out. Bbest meal was in a Neapolitan restaurant on the last evening in Florence.
Florence has a great open air market where you can buy anything but the leather bags were very good. Pisa was good for clothes and we all came back with bulging suitcases.

So much better in the flesh - actually there a several of them but all are quite overwhelming
