I’ve always had lots of animals and pets around, although now not so many as age and disease has taken it’s toll on the Cook household population.
I am reluctant to take on more animals and pets at the moment as I work full time and don’t have much of that extra time to take care of them all properly - maybe when I retire?

Since she was very young my daughter has been fascinated by Hoopoes.
Out on a walk one day spotted a strange looking bird just flying off as she approached. She thought it looked like a hoopoe, but dismissed it as fantasy until she identified the feather on the ground from where it took of. Yes it was a hoopoe - one of many seen in the area in 2005.
