HELPING CHILDREN:

The Small Faces Charitable Trust

Evolving from the energy and music of the sixties, the Small Faces Charitable Trust is the brainchild of drummer Kenney Jones. As a teenager, Kenney was a founding member of England's rock band The Small Faces, a dynamic group that evolved into The Faces when Rod Stewart and Ronnie Wood joined the band.

The goal of the Small Faces Charitable Trust is to help any child in need. "Most charities are based around a specific disease, affliction, geography or category," says Kenney. "Yet the fact is that real needs often don't neatly match such carefully defined criteria. The aim of our charity is to provide support where other assistance is not available. The only criterion our charity embraces is that of helping all children in difficulty as best we can."

On behalf of The Small Faces and in memory of Steve Marriott and Ronnie Lane, Kenney established the Small Faces Charitable Trust in 1999. The trust has been set up to provide care and support for children and young people who are deprived, under privileged, sick, or mentally or physically challenged and who need help, opportunity and a new beginning in life. Funds are raised by donations and by the organization of fundraising activities such as concerts, recordings, sporting events and celebrity appearances.

The Trust wants to help youngsters in need and with continued support aims to make sure its work will make a difference to an awful lot more.
