When we first bought the property we were attracted to it for a number of reasons including the fact that there was a site license for four static caravans.

 

It was our intention to utilise the site license after a few years but a chance meeting in our local hostelry with a couple who were seeking a quiet and secluded caravan park in the local area ended up with us bringing this project forward by a couple of years.

 

As the property is set on the side of quite a steep hill there was quite a lot of excavation work to be carried out. We made the pitches extremely large by most caravan park standards so each pitch has their own garden area at the side.

 

The caravan park has now been up and running for three years and we have a number of lovely residents who enjoy the peace and quiet that we can offer. Our first couple have been with us from the very beginning and are intending to stay for at least another two years.

 

For the first few years we rented out our three caravans for holiday makers but last year we made the decision to sell them off to couples or individuals who wanted to use them purely for their own holiday use. To maintain the peaceful nature of the site we decided to make the park “adults only” and have attracted some lovely residents who have formed some great friendships with visits to the surrounding area and Sunday lunches in our local public house.
