Turkeys
Last year we decided to try our hand with some turkey eggs to produce some free-range turkey’s for the Christmas table.
I purchased some eggs and put them into my incubator and waited patiently; or perhaps impatiently; for the day of hatching.
Below is a picture of them at a few hours old.
I must say that they grew up into lovely birds and were a treat on Christmas Day.
We produced twelve of them which were sold to family and friends and whilst some may think this is cruel we have the knowledge that they all had a very happy free range life which is more than a lot of turkeys get to experience.
We will produce more turkeys again this year and bookings are now being taken—if you want to experience a real free-range turkey dinner please call or e-mail me for details.
