Chickens

 

Our next venture was chickens. I have always wanted to keep some chickens to provide us with fresh eggs and had read every book and internet site that I could find on how to look after them and provide them with a healthy life style.

 

Again, following a chance meeting in our local pub, one of our friends advised that his parents had some chickens they wanted to re-home due to the activity of the local fox. Needless to say I jumped at the chance.

 

When we got to their home in Llansanan to pick up the chickens included in the selection of animals were also a turkey and a guinea fowl.

I also have a couple of bantam’s who will occasionally site on eggs and pictured below is the result of one such event.
