
A 'New English' Music
These web pages are all about Leicestershire based band BLACK RAT and the music they play. The website includes details of forthcoming gigs and sound files of the music.
BLACK RAT were formed in the Autumn of 2002. The music is a mix of original material, rock and folk, a 'New English' style combining modern and traditional elements. The instruments include guitar, drums and bass but also the distinctive sound of mandolin and flute.
We have played across Southern England and the Midlands over the last six years. The list of Festivals under our belt includes:

News:
April 2010 will see us back in the studio to record our third CD,
provisionally entitled 'St Bartholomew's Eve'.
The album should be available at gigs from next summer and available to
download from May 2010.
