A 'New English' Music
These web pages are all about Leicestershire based band BLACK RAT and the music they play. The website includes details of forthcoming gigs and sound files of the music.
BLACK RAT were formed in the Autumn of 2002. The music is a mix of original material, rock and folk, a 'New English' style combining modern and traditional elements. The instruments include guitar, drums and bass but also the distinctive sound of mandolin and flute.
We have played across Southern England and the Midlands over the last six years. The list of Festivals under our belt includes:

We have a good line-up of Festival dates for the Summer months which this year includes
WARWICK and the TWO RIVERS Folk Festivals.
This will be our first appearance at both these events.
All the dates are on the gig page and you will find links to the individual websites there as well.
