"Lovely apartment, great location in town - close enough to walk everywhere but far enough away to have some peace and quiet. Playa itself is great base to explore the surrounding area and we loved our Playa.info trip to Tulum. Our first experience of snokelling and scuba diving were fantastic and are real "must-do" activities! Loved the local food and the cocktails - especially the Pina Coladas and Mojitos!" "I can’t recommend Playa or Casita Oceano enough. The only negative is that we were only there for a week. The apartment is great, with everything you could possibly want including a fresh tank of drinking water kindly deposited on our arrival. The complex is well laid out with an elevated deck area with loungers by the pool-side right outside the apartment door which is in the sun for most of the day, great for the sun worshippers. Large supermarkets & grocery shops are about 5 minutes walk away. Fifth avenue with all it’s bars & restaurants is only a few minutes walk from the front door, where you can find a meal to suit most palettes & budgets as well as various offers on Corona and Caiparinha’s. Here you can also find a host of shops & travel companies providing trips to the Mayan ruins, as well as various diving and snorkelling excursions. We opted for a day trip going to Tulum in the morning and Xel Ha in the afternoon. Both I would recommend, but the activities and the all inclusive pass to Xel Ha is more than enough reason to spend the full day there. You can easily lose a couple of days on the beach, and if you choose to you can hire a couple of loungers for the full day for a few dollars (depending how you haggle). There’s plenty of bars that open onto the beach if you prefer a little more shade (and again look for the drinks offers). In short, great place, great accommodation and look forward to going back very soon." Simon and Louisa - Manchester, UK April 2007

"Our first visit to Playa del Carmen (though our ninth to Mexico) was made all the more enjoyable because of the welcome and care we received from the folks at Casita Oceano - property managers (Vimex Condos), security staff, maids: all were very helpful. The complex is very comfortable and conveniently located for access to absolutely everything. We stayed for the month of February 2008 and found it to be quite satisfactory. "Playa" is great for a beach vacation! And cheap!!" Rob and Bob - St. Andrews, New Brunswick, Canada February 2008

"The apartment was comfortable, close to all the action and the beach but far enough from all the noise. Staff is really helpful and the pool area is beautiful. Playa is wonderful in every sense; clean beaches, great restaurants and amazing people. Don’t forget to visit Xcaret, it is must if you are there." Adriana and Justin Mahoney March 2008

"Great accommodation well situated a short walk from the beach and main town. Great location for the start of our honeymoon. We hung by the pool, down by the beach (which has the finest pure white sand I have ever seen) and the main strip of 5th Avenue for a couple of days. It just was great to relax after our big day and absorb the atmosphere. Got more adventurous later and got out and about to Cozumel, Tulum, Coba and out as far as Chichen Itza. Wish we had more time there, especially to try more of the food. Will definitely be back."
