"Pippa"

Pippa is now a "pensioner" at 9 years old and an amazing little character that loves everyone. She has 2 certificates for obedience training and is a keen swimmer when she gets the opportunity, excellent at retrieving items from water even if they sink!

When my mother suffered a severe stroke several years ago, I was given permission by the nursing staff to take her into the hospital. I was amazed by the positive reaction from, not only my mother, but also the other patients who were so pleased to see a dog. She is now a registered PAT dog and enjoys regular visits to our local hospital where she likes receiving the fuss and attention and of course the inevitable treats! I feel it is a very worthwhile "job" and we both get a lot of satisfaction from it.

I was very delighted when Pippa was selected to attend the PAT dog parade at Crufts 2004. Pippa rose to the occasion and I was proud of her. I have been going to Crufts for some years now but this was the first time I had ever had the honour of taking a dog!
