Conductor: Kenneth Woods

Kenneth Woods is already known in America as one of the most exciting conductors of the new generation. He has worked with many orchestras of international distinction on both sides of the Atlantic including the BBC National Orchestra of Wales. He has also appeared on the stages of some of the world’s leading music festivals. His work on the concert platform and in recording studios has led to numerous broadcasts on BBC Radio 3, National Public Radio and the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. He is Musical Director and Conductorof the Oregan East Symphony and Chorale, Principal Guest Conductor of the Rose City Chamber Orchestra and Principal Conductor of the Lancashire Chamber Orchestra. Kenneth is also a distinguished cellist, being the ricipient of several awards including the Aspen Fellowship and Dale Gilbert Award. He has toured extensively as soloist and chamber musician. He is married to violinist Susanne Casey, who was at one time a member of the HSO.
