Broadcasting Trust Archive

The Trust's archive includes film and video collections produced by Red Star Cinema, Banana Films, Edinburgh Television, Edinburgh Television Trust/Television Trust for Scotland, TU/TV, Channel Six Dundee and the Institute of Local Television. The archive includes examples of community video, student broadcasting, political film-making, trades union videos together with arts programmes - particularly on art, books, film, architecture and archeology.

CMA Showcase

Twenty five hours of the Broadcasting Trust archive has been reviewed for the Community Media Association's audio and video website - www.showcase.commedia.org. The programmes on the Showcase have been encoded at three bandwidths to allow access over a variety of bandwidths.

Unless indicated, broadcast quality versions of each of these programmes can also be obtained from the Broadcasting Trust: contact local.tv@virgin.net. These can be made available on video for broadcasting on non-commercial small-scale TV channels or in non-commercial community slots on commercial channels.

In addition, collections of programmes from the Trust's Archive are published on DVD under the headings: Artist's Stories, Writers' Stories, Directors' Stories andCommunity Television - Key 'Texts'.
