Jill graduated in Fine Art in the late eighties and went on to pursue a successful career in Ireland. Her portfolio has been published nationally and internationally in magazines and books and include being co-author of two books on Belfast that provided a balanced view of life in Belfast and the North. Whilst co director, with Chris Hill, of a successful photographic studio in the centre of Belfast, she became well known for her landscapes, portraiture, theatre and film stills, including stills photographer for the acclaimed Father Ted series, and Fighting the Waves, a touring exhibition celebrating 25 years of theatre photography in Ireland.
Over the years she has regularly exhibited her fine art work in galleries and journals to critical acclaim. A move to England in 2002 enabled her to concentrate on more specific art based project work and completing a Masters degree in documentary photography from Newport. In addition to her fine art projects, Jill undertakes regular commissions for national magazines, as well as returning to shoot assignments in Ireland for exhibition and publication.
