The arrival of CDs to replace LPs has meant that album covers are not quite the meaningful part of the music buying experience that they used to be. To try to redress the balance, Cover Heaven celebrates album cover art with the emphasis firmly on beauty.

Covers are presented chronologically by decade from the 1950's to the 1970's with an additional potpourri section for miscellaneous covers that merit display for one reason or another. If you're looking for a particular record cover try the catalogue page. Here you'll find a complete list of covers each linking directly to their appropriate display in the site. New covers are being added regularly and are always highlighted and accessible on the front page.

Each cover provides a link to a larger detail of either the front cover or, in some cases, the back cover where this too features beauty. Clicking on the link will open a new smaller browser window which you can simply close when done.

Care is taken to make all pictures as quick to download as possible. Some of the enlarged images may take a second or two longer but in all cases the wait is usually worth it!
