Rolf Jordan

'Inspired by English Music' An exhibition at Ludlow Assembly Rooms.
3 May - 3 June 2007

"My work for this exhibition is directly inspired by music. In many cases the approach to the image comes from the literary origins of a composition - song texts, libretti, composer's words, titles and so on. Much of my visual inspiration comes from the Welsh border country and the Three Choirs counties, much as it did for the composers and writers whose works are represented in my paintings."

Rolf Jordan has been a letter cutter, freelance designer and sculptor. This is his first solo exhibition, themed to coincide with the third English Song Weekend organised by Finzi Friends.
