This is a large knitting machine 11 meters long.  It produces 8 pieces at once each piece being widened or narrowed to shape the finished garment.  The ribs and cuffs are knitted on a small hand flat machine and then transfered to the frame.  It will take about one hour to knit 8 complete garments.  The garments are then sewn up using a cup seamer and the collars attached using a linking machine.

I use this machine to make my "Lochluichart" pattern garments.  The machine produces garment lengths divided by a nylon drawthread.  Each piece is then washed and after drying it is cut and sewn using an overlock machine.  The collars being linked on last.  It can produce about 6 garments per day.
