FIGHT AGAINST BULLYING
Daniel’s Trust started in 2005 in
response to requests for help from soldiers who were being
bullied whilst serving in the British Army
By working in partnership with Forces
Helpline, Daniel’s Trust offers
help, advice and support
to service men and women who are being
bullied in the armed forces and to families that have lost
loved ones in noncombat situations both in barracks at home or
overseas.
Sadly these are a few of the young faces
of Deepcut & Beyond
They are just a few of the casualties of
peace who have lost their lives over the last few years

Fight Against Bullying
in the armed forces
Bullying is
behaviour which can be defined as repeated attack, physical,
psychological, social or verbal, by those in a position of
power, which is formally or situationally defined, on those who
are powerless to resist, with the intention of causing distress
for their own gain or gratification.
Bullying can
lead to long term deficiency and insecurities in the bullied
person and they may find it hard to behave normally because
they are being bullied

This guide is to help you understand your
rights, military laws and regulations and what help is
available to you when arrested for or charged with an offence
under the Army Act 1955. It cannot deal with every
question you might have. While most of its contents apply to
all persons arrested or charged with an offence, the primary
objective is to assist accused private soldiers and NCOs.
If you are in any doubt about the contents or your rights
generally, you should ask for an officer, WO or SNCO to assist
you
You should be aware that this pamphlet
is periodically updated. If you wish to confirm
that the contents are still current, you should check with your
Orderly Room. A copy of the current version will be
issued to you if you are arrested and kept in military custody
or charged with an offence.
