Orlando provides a haven for young and old alike, there is loads to do and see, we have included the following list below which are all within easy reach from Nealy Nook Villa.Check out the links to each of the main Orlando attractions.
AIRBOAT RIDES Take an airboat ride over the dunes to see plenty of wildlife and maybe bump into some large crocks.
ANIMAL KINGDOM There is a strong message for conservation of the environment here and its delicate balance, with animals taking the main stage. See the Lion King musical or go on a bush safari. Rides include the river rapids (be prepared to get wet) and the Tree of life.
BUSCH GARDENS About an hours ride west from Orlando near to Tampa is Busch Gardens. Plenty of rollercoasters here SHEIKRA is probably the most scary taking you down to the pits of the earth, only a mere 200ft 90 degree drop!
DISCOVERY COVE A small but exclusive park. Swim with the dolphins a once in a lifetime opportunity to fulfil for many a life time ambition.
EPCOT A truly multicultural experience! Visiting and learning about countries from around the world, tasting their culinary delights at one of the many International restaurants, some super rides to enjoy and finish your day with the fantastic Firework display.
GOLF AT CHAMPIONS GATE Only 2 minutes from Nealy Nook is Champions gate the Greg Norman designed golf course renowned as one of Florida's premier golf courses and home to the David Leadbetter golf academy. For further details and green prices visit their website
KENNEDY SPACE CENTRE Visit the Kennedy Space centre and see one of the space shuttle launches. To get access to the next launch it is best to view their website. If you want to see a shuttle launch leave as early as you can to avoid the traffic.
MAGIC KINGDOM DISNEY This is where it all started! Cinderellas castle even melts the hearts of the toughest of adults! The Disney World main website is the best place to visit to give you details of timings, parades and all park info for all the major parks.
MEDIEVAL TIMES Watch knights do battle, eat and drink a plenty! (Evening activity).
MGM STUDIOS This is a favorite for the older kids! The Tower of Terror and Rock n' Roller coaster ride are awesome!Some great characters too like Indiana Jones (visit the film set )
RIPLEYS BELIEVE IT OR NOT This a good one if the weather is bad some amazing things here to see and do.
SEAWORLD The atmosphere at Sea World is more relaxed than some of the other parks a great family day out. Brilliant performances from Shamu the killer whale, watch him perform and be prepared to get soaked! This is also the home of Orlando's fastest ride the KRAKEN.
TYPHOON LAGOON A clever job done here to get you as near to a real paradise island as possible, a very relaxing day, some brilliant water rides all based round a lagoon beach area, well worth a visit.
UNIVERSAL ISLANDS OF ADVENTURE This still remains one of Orlando's most popular theme parks. Rides include: HULK, DUELLING DRAGONS, POPEYE AND BLUTO'S RAPIDS, DOCTOR DOOM'S FREEFALL, ADVENTURES OF SPIDERMAN and many more.
UNIVERSAL STUDIOS Next door to Islands of Adventure. It prides its self in having the largest HARD ROCK CAFE. There are some great rides too like: KING KONG, THE MUMMY, JAWS, MEN IN BLACK, TERMINATOR 2, BACK TO THE FUTURE, and EARTHQUAKE.
WET 'N' WILD The original waterpark and some still think the best. Pitch up and lounge all day in the sun or take a trip on one of the many water rides. Why not try the Elevator to hell that sorts out the men from the boys!
