1920 Admiralty refused permission to build on the ground

1921 HD Swann (Club secretary in 1899) appointed Manager of the MCC Tour to Australia

1923 Club permitted to enclose the ground

1927 Second XI is formed

1928 League formed - Holmbury win R Bateman 591 runs @ 29.55   S Cooper 97 wkts @ 5.92 !!

1945 Match against Cranleigh broadcast on BBC Radio

1946 Sunday cricket introduced

1950 Commander Ellis introduces the Presidents Award

1951 'Bubble' King takes 100 wickets in the season

1958 Holmbury win the Admiral Dunlop Plate

1961 Club decides to build a new pavilion

1962 First 'Strawberry Fair' held

1968 New pavilion opened

1970 Win Dorking Evening League

1971 Ground registered as Village Green in perpetuity - win Dorking Evening League

1972 T Moon first player to score 1000 runs in a season - B Ede takes 118 wickets

1973 First tour - to Devon - all three games won

1979 New water & electricity supplies laid to the pavilion

1982 Win the Surrey Mirror/Orion Airlines Competition

1983 T Moon scores a club record of 1596 runs

1989 Play a Surrey XI on New Years Day for Graham Clinton's Benefit year

1990 Chris Noble scores a club record 142 against Horsley

1991 Keith Winser breaks the record by scoring 150 not out against Wonersh

1995 Enter Village League - finish second.

1996 Win Village League & 6 a side competition

1997 Finish second in Village League - win League cup & 6 a side competition

1998 Win Village League & 6 a side

1999 Win Village League, League cup, 6 a side competition & Sportsmanship award.
