Having been a Computer Science student, BSc (Hons) degree, I'm into computers. Programming first on a Commodore 64 from the age of eleven and then 4 years with a 4Meg Atari Ste in basic and variant of modula 2, Pascal and C. My first PC a 49Mb, RAM, Pentium 133 using any high level language. And now with my ever growing K6-3 450 (16Meg Voodoo3-2000)
Bubble Bobble
The game that started my love affair with computer based games, sad I know. Two dragons spewing forth a tide of bubbles at various demons and drunks! in order to trap them and burst them with their spines and fins. Classic!
R-TYPE
For me the all time classic horizontal shoot-em up. Absolutely killer, shame R-TYPE ][ was the same game over again.
Baldur's Gate I & ][
The first game was a killer, the second had more interaction, but was some how more linear, but classy all the same. Mind blowing graphics its a Forgotten Realms novel come to life
Deus Ex
Mind blowing game play... its the first (FPS) game I've ever played that I've not cheated to see the ending.
Diablo:
The finest RPG ever made.. not bad since it is barely an Role Playing Game. All the emphasis is on the action with none of the hassle of text based or point and click style games. Its a shame that Diablo ][ doesn't have the same staying power.
