I love cartoons.... animation is the new 'black'... its also the new rock-n-roll.... The Simpson's show us that Americans can really do sit-coms, Futurama proved that this wasn't a one off, South Park showed us that they aren't always just for kids.

The Simpsons and Futurama are classic examples of this. Both are almost age independent and can be enjoyed at any level. If you simply like the antics of Homer and Bart running around or the subtle gags, political references to and social commentary; its all there.

Ren and Stimpy did provide us with some of the viler moments in the history of TV entertainment but at the same time forged the paths that allowed more adult cartoons that were still comedy based. Manga and Anime are good but sometimes they are to seriously minded for their own good (Akira is the classic).

South Park began a new wave of cartoon based adult fun, now the mainstay of FOX's programming, and was a blast for a while.

Johnny Bravo showed us vanity and hairspray. Road Runner and Angry Beavers showed us slapstick comedy. Ren and Stimpy took it about as far as you can go.

.... and the Power Puff Girls... well.. OK so there is always one!
