This is my first website, which is why there isn't much yet.
I thought I'd start with some photos and wallpaper.
If you're on dialup, expect to wait 20 seconds per image, or 2 minutes per page.

Even producing a simple site like this has been an exercise in hair-tearing. Something as simple as a non-breaking space will not behave the same in both IE and FireFox. I now understand why some web designers choose to either
[1] Support Internet Explorer only; or
[2] Give up on HTML as a waste of time and do it all in Flash
-but not me. By sticking to the 20% of the 20% of all features that work in both browsers, it is still possible to make a decent site. Eventually. My fonts even change size in IE when you ask them to, and how often do you see that? ^_^
Practically all HTML editors create output that is illegible in a text editor. MS Word is easily the worst offender, but OpenOffice isn't far behind, and even NVU has odd quirks. So in the end, after trying all three, I'll be finishing the site in Code-Genie, a text editor with syntax colouring.
