It's good to know that someone remembers these sketches! They were there when I started to work on the railway in 1947 as a signal lamp lad at Durham. They were quite fresh then and looked as if they were recently done.

The building was a rail motor garage where a Jap engined platelayers' trolley was kept. Trains from the Consett branch heading for Shildon would stop there to take water or to wait for a path on to the Bishop branch.
