Amenities
Hi - Welcome to Captain's View.
The detached house was built in 1897 by a retired sea captain - Captain Wright and then converted into two apartments in the 1960's. - I live on the ground floor.
The property has just been fully renovated and newly decorated throughout.
The fully alarmed accommodation (all centrally heated) is on the top (first) floor (which is reached through your own private front door and flight of stairs) - consists of a large lounge with widescreen TV, video and dvd player, leather suite, modern fire and spectacular views up and down the River Mersey and across to Liverpool. There are also patio doors leading on to a small balcony.
The main bedroom has a kingsize leather bed, colour TV, fitted wardrobes and again - stunning views of the river.
The second bedroom is a comfortable twin room also with TV, fitted wardrobes.
The large bathroom has a separate corner shower and corner bath with fitted units for sink and toilet.
The kitchen is fully fitted with fridge, freezer and dishwasher. (There is a laundry area in the garage with washing machine and tumble dryer). The view from the kitchen window is of a lawned garden and across to the famous Liver Buildings.
There is then a spacious dining room with extending table,CD player and if required a comfortable fold-up bed can be provided for that extra person.
All these rooms lead from a large spacious central hall.
There is off road parking if required.
There are sunloungers and chairs etc. provided if you wish to relax in the well kept gardens and on the veranda - all overlooking the river.
The property is situated directly on the promenade where no traffic is allowed except pedestrians and cyclists. From here you can enjoy up to 15 miles of the beautiful Wirral coastline - on foot or by cycle. (I do have a few bikes which you are welcome to borrow).
If you enjoy sea fishing - well it's on your doorstep! As is the Mersey Ferry - a 10 minute walk (or short cycle ride - as bikes are allowed on the Ferry) along the promenade or a 3 minute drive with free parking. The newly opened Spaceport is located here, as is a small aquarium.
The Mersey Tunnel is 5 minutes away. This takes you directly into the centre of Liverpool.
New Brighton (a popular Victorian seaside town) is a 15 minute walk away(or again - a short cycle ride) - where there are pubs, café's, a newly built ten pin bowling alley, a pool for model boats and of course arcades with slot machines and rides, fish and chips, home-made ice cream and candy floss. You can visit Fort Perch Rock or fly a kite on the extensive grassy areas, play crazy golf - or play 18 hole chip & put on  greens overlooking Liverpool Bay.
Using the easily accessible network of motorways - the North West, Wales, the Lake District, the historic city of Chester and vibrant city of Manchester are all within easy reach.
All towels, bed linen, gas and electric, are included as is a welcome breakfast pack.

Please note, the prices given above are examples only, final price is dependant on occupancy level and booking period.
e.g. Saturday to Saturday and multiple week bookings would normally be cheaper than short breaks or bookings starting or finishing midweek etc.

Contact me by phone or email with your detailed accomodation needs for a final price.
