Critiques
Published
authors ourselves, we know how vulnerable all writers can be, and how important
your own project is to you.
It is a
fact that editors and agents can sometimes be abruptly dismissive of work that
has taken years of dedication to research and bring to completion. If you send
your work to us, you will find us sympathetic, constructive and
helpful.
If your
work is not yet of publishable standard, we will do our best to help you
improve it. We promise to be positive and encouraging, while always remaining
realistic about your chances of success. Please e-mail us for sample
reports.
Ghosting
If you have a story to tell, but
do not know how to begin, StorytrackS can help.
We understand that people who are
experts in their own fields are not always willing or able to write their own
books. You may wish to write memoirs, an autobiography or a family history, for
commercial publication. Or you may be considering self-publishing, and
intending to give away or sell copies of your book to friends, neighbours or
your family.
We can give you advice on how to
write your book, or write it ourselves from your notes or material. We can
advise on printing and registering your work. We can even provide you with an
ISBN.
In some cases, we can actually
produce and print your book for you. If this is not possible, we can put you in
touch with reputable firms of printers or self-publishers. We can give you
advice on how to market and sell your book.
See also the section of the
website on Ghosting.
Agents
We have extensive contacts in the
publishing world and are in constant touch with agents who are always looking
for exciting new authors. If we feel your work is of publication standard, we
will introduce you to an agent who specialises in your chosen
field.
