KW 108 Monitorscope

The KW108 monitorscope, made in England by the Decca company, is a most useful instrument, allowing for"on-the-air" monitoring and testing of amateur radio transmissions on all bands from 160m through 10m.The monitorscope is designed to be connected between the kw108.jpg (11589 bytes)transmitter or Linear Amplifier and the antenna or ATU and gives a visual display of the transmitted envelope, which will allow the TX to be "talked-up" to full power output, whilst watching for flat-topping which would cause the signal to "splatter" causing interference.By using the 2 tone Test Generator, the Transmitter may be adjusted to ensure that it is operating in a linear fashion, necessary for good quality SSB transmission. The KW108 is designed in the attractive KW style and matches other famous KW products such as the KW2000 series of transceivers etc.Frequency coverage is 1.5 to 30Mc's.Input impedance is suitable for use with 50 or 75 ohm Transmitters.Sensitivity is sufficient to be useful with as little as 10 watts input.Maximum input is 1kW CW,2kW PEP.Power requirements are 115 or 235 volts ac.This useful unit is in excellent original condition and working order. It comes complete with a copy of the maker's handbook. The price is $385 US Dollars, which includes the cost of air freight to the USA.
