r1431.jpg (19921 bytes)This vintage radio receiver,dates from around the period of World War 2.The coverage of the receiver is from 65Mc’s to 85Mc’s.It is an uncased unit, designed for mounting in a standard 19" rack.The circuit uses 9 Tubes(valves) and power requirements are 250volts B+ (H.T.) at around 85mA and 6.3 volts for the heaters.The circuit incorporates AGC and a BFO.There is some superficial corrosion of approximately 10% of the chassis,making the overall condition of this vintage radio,average or slightly less.However,the set has not been altered from the original design and has all the correct tubes,control knobs,switches,meter and even the original calibration chart on the front of the set.This vintage radio is ideal for a collector wanting to purchase a scarce set, at a modest price and who is willing to undertake a small amount of restoration.The result would be a very worthwhile addition to any collection of unusual vintage radios.The receiver,which is untested,is complete with a manual and circuit diagram.The price is $360 U.S.Dollars, including air transport to USA.

r1224a.jpg (22027 bytes)A much sought after, early, British Royal Air Force vintage receiver and it is not difficult to see the reason for this.Although built for the military,it dates back to an elegant age of wooden cabinets,Muirhead dial drives,grid bias and an Air Force flying planes which boasted propellers on the front!The vintage receiver uses 5 tubes (valves) and requires power supplies of around 120 volts B+ (H.T.),-3volts grid bias and 2 volts for the heaters.At some stage during the last 70 years,the cabinet front panel has been restored, but all the original lettering remainsCondition throughout is very good ,with no modifications and retaining original components..A nice feature, is that the original calibration chart is still with the receiver,fixed to the underside of the lid.Coverage is 4.3Mc’s to 21 Mc’s in 3 switched ranges.This very desirable early R.A.F. battery communications receiver is in working order and comes complete with a circuit diagram.The price is $580 U.S. Dollars, including air transport to USA.
