Local weather.

 

Naturally when planning a holiday everyone's thoughts change to the weather and what it is likely to be at various times of the year. Well it fair to say that Spain is well known for its excellent all year round sunshine but no doubt you want  more specific information. Hopefully the following information, based on previous years statistics, will serve as a guide for you.

On the Costa del sol the summers are hot and you can sunbathe virtually every day from June till September. There is very little rainfall and daily temperatures reach highs of 35 centigrade and lows of about 15 centigrade at night.

The winters are mild and you can expect clear sunny days as well as warm overcast days. Daytime temperatures reach about 20 centigrade and the evenings get cooler with lows of about 10 centigrade. The rains usually come in early October and can be heavy at times although not usually lasting more than a couple of days.
