Place Farm is on the eastern edge of the village of Tostock, just off the A14, about halfway between Bury St Edmunds and Stowmarket.

By car

From Bury St Edmunds, M11 and the West: Take the A14 towards Stowmarket. Ignore the exit signed Tostock, Beyton, Thurston, Drinkstone and leave the A14 at the next junction signed Ixworth, Norton, Elmswell, Woolpit. At the roundabout take the second exit, signed Ixworth, Norton. Follow the road for about half a mile and take the second turning on the left which has a tiny sign pointing to Tostock and rather larger blue ones saying it's unsuitable for HGVs. The turning is opposite a large, illuminated stone sign for Elmswell New Hall. This is Church Road. Our driveway is the first on the left-hand side about 500 yards along. Be careful not to take the tiny turning into the wheat field. There is a sign at the end of our drive for Tostock Park Stud and Place Farm. Go up the drive past the stud farm and take the right fork signed to the house.

From Stowmarket, Ipswich, Harwich, A12 and the South: Take the A14 towards Bury St Edmunds. Leave at the Ixworth, Elmswell, Norton, Woolpit junction. At the T-junction, turn right over the bridge. At the roundabout take the first exit, signed Ixworth, Norton. By rail

From London: Most trains from Liverpool Street to Norwich stop at Stowmarket (every half hour peak or hourly off-peak). From there get a taxi from the office opposite the station, or we can collect you, given enough notice.

From Cambridge: There is a train service of sorts that runs from Cambridge to Ipswich, with most stopping at Elmswell. This would be our nearest station and we can collect you easily from there.

By ferry

Harwich is our nearest ferry port. Car ferries arrive here from Hamburg, Cuxhaven, Esbjerg, Zeebrugge, and Turku. There is also a catarmaran to Hook of Holland. From Harwich head towards the A14 at Ipswich and follow the road directions above.

By air

Our nearest international airport is probably London Stansted but we would also be able to collect from Norwich if you wish.
