Reproduction K Ration Boxes.

breaksmall.jpg (13307 bytes)I have tried to faithfully reproduce both the inner and outer packaging of later type US WWII K rations. Sourcing the correct weight of card, colours, fonts, layout and dimensions has taken a long time but here they are. If you are a reenactor or a living history enthusiast these are for you. These are NOT fuzzy photocopies they are printed pin sharp on the correct weight card and look like they just came out of the crate! Original k rations are impossible to find, cost a fortune and if you are lucky enough to find one you are so scared of damaging them they stay on the shelf and rarely make it into your musette bag, Jeep, Dodge, Sherman or whatever you drive / carry. The reaction so far from WWII reenactors and vehicle owners that have seen these is 'wow'

I have reproduced the artwork on these items using a number of different originals as guides. K rations were made by many companies during the war but for continuity I have used one manufacturers name for all three.

The artwork was developed to boost morale among troops, making it easier for them to tell which box contained which meal. All branches of the army including infantry, armoured and airborne 'chowed down' with these. Also included are two smaller D Ration boxes again printed on heavy weight card and to correct dimensions. These rather than a meal were more of a snack "to be eaten over about half an hour!"

All the boxes come assembled, folded flat and ready to fill.
