New Year run

Saturday 5th January 2008

This was a short drive out, from a lay-by on the A683 just outside Lancaster to the The Longlands Hotel, Tewitfield, Nr Carnforth.

It a freezing cold day, just finished raining, but luckily for us, there was a coffee van at the lay-by, selling Ice Cream !!!!

A great turn out of Jeeps, etc etc.   I stopped taking photos after we set off, as half an hour up the road, my Jeep let out a huge back fire, and stopped.  John LePage towed me to the Longlands pub, where we had a great 3 course meal, for not a lot of money. Then Roops towed me home, all 4 miles of it. Problem was a broken negative wire onto the coil. So a new end crimped on, and all is well.
