7 Pin Mini Din Video

I have received numerous requests for information relating to video connectors on PC video cards.
Whilst I don't mind the questions, please don't get shirty when you don't receive a reasonable answer, I never claimed to be the fount of all knowledge! See that manufacturer's web site or your printed documentation I say!

I have only come across such a connector once, on a Matrox Marvel card.
It is claimed that this connector provided YC video out (more commonly found on a 4 pin mini DIN) though it is beyond be how two signals and at least one ground can come out of only  two pins! The illustration below is based upon the short 7 pin DIN to phono socket  cable which is supplied with the card.
