Description: The Kanthor is a curous member of the cat family, the size of a domestic feline
the Kanthor is different only in that it possesses a pair of bird like wings upon its shoulder blades.
The creature frequents much of the Kith-Qua Forest and many are domesticated pets of Elven households, preying on small birds and pests.
The Kanthors disposition is very much like its earth bound relatives, playful, capricious and generally a law unto themselves.
The origins of the Kanthor are unclear, however they first appeared in records around 1200 bwp, a date which has led many non-Kitha scholars
to theorise that the Kanthor were created due to sorcery, rather than nature.
Indeed travellers only need venture to the depths of the Black Woods to witness creatures that are a direct result of Sorcerous meddling.
The Kitha have long denigned these allegations, but the Purges of the Ash Knights following the War of Powers did include excursions into the Black Woods, possible evidence of the
Orders attempts to conceal their own Arcane experiments.
